We live and work on Dartmoor. Lime, cork and traditional finishes for granite, cob and stone homes, from our base at Doccombe near Moretonhampstead.
Dartmoor is home
Get Plastered Devon is based at Doccombe, just outside Moretonhampstead, so Dartmoor homes are on our doorstep. We know the buildings: thick granite and stone walls, cob farmhouses, and cottages that have been altered over the centuries, often with modern materials that don't suit them.
Old moorland homes need to breathe. Cement render and modern plaster can trap moisture in solid walls, leading to cold, damp rooms and mould. Breathable lime and natural cork finishes work with these buildings, keeping them drier and warmer.

Common questions
Can you replace cement render on an old stone house?
Yes. We can remove failing cement render and replace it with a breathable lime or cork system that lets the walls dry out.
Do you work on cob buildings?
Yes. Cob needs breathable materials, and we use lime and cork.
