Who we are
Get Plastered Devon is a family-run plastering business based in Devon, offering traditional and lime plastering, rendering, cork plaster and render, and mould solutions. We are responsible for (the “controller” of) any personal information you share with us.

What we collect
This website does not have a contact form, accounts or any sign-up, and it does not collect personal information on its own. We only receive personal information when you choose to get in touch with us, for example by:
- phoning or texting us;
- emailing us;
- messaging us on WhatsApp; or
- messaging us through our Facebook page.
When you do, we receive whatever you send us — typically your name, phone number or email address, your address or the location of the job, details and photos of the work you need, and our messages back and forth.
How we use it
We use your information only to:
- reply to your enquiry and give you advice or a quote;
- arrange site visits and carry out the work;
- invoice you and keep the records we must keep for tax and accounting.
We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we rely on:
- Contract — to give you a quote and carry out work you ask us to do;
- Legitimate interests — to respond to general enquiries you send us;
- Legal obligation — to keep financial records required by law;
- Consent — for any analytics cookies (only if you accept them). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not share your information with anyone else, except where we have to by law or where you would expect it (for example, our accountant for keeping financial records).
If you contact us through WhatsApp, Facebook, email or phone, that service provider (for example WhatsApp/Meta or your email provider) also processes your messages under its own privacy policy.
The website is hosted by Vercel, which processes basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver the pages to you. The site’s text and photos are managed in WordPress, hosted by Hostinger; visitors’ browsers do not connect to it. Fonts are served from this website itself, not from Google.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don’t lead to work for no longer than 12 months. If we do work for you, we keep customer and job records for up to 6 years after the job, as required for tax and accounting.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information (where we don’t need to keep it by law);
- object to or ask us to restrict how we use it; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
